Delaware was a very quick trip...only 2 photos taken on a pleasant walking path to the geocache. Yes, along with all the wonderful things we saw in 11 days, our prime directive was to find a geocache in 10 remaining states. All in all we found 18, left one TB and found one TB.

You could smell these honeysuckle blossoms all along the path.

And now we are at Ft. McHenry near Baltimore, Maryland. This is the original transcript of the "The Star Spangled Banner."

Francis Scott Key, himself. There was very nice visitors center with many artifacts and historic details about the anthem and the fort and the battle. There was a short video presentation which ended with the screen lifting to a view through big panoramic windows to the fort and a replica of the flag. Impressive.

One of the 5 points of the star-shaped fort.

The interior of the fort. We were able to get into many of the rooms that had furniture, dishes, uniforms, weapons, etc. and lots of info.

The flag...15 stars and 15 stripes.

Here we are in Annapolis.

Chesapeake Bay.

We walked around the docks and ate a fabulous crab lunch...crab soup, little crab balls, and a big crab ball sandwich on the outdoor porch of the Middleton Tavern.

This is the front of the restaurant...old tavern where George Washington dined and slept.

Interesting ironwork.

Flowers at the Academy.

The state capitol building. This photo is for Abram...Annapolis was his favorite mission area.

Do you think George Washington ate crab balls? :)
Lots of cool history. That crab lunch is making me hungry! ...and of course George Washington ate crab balls, why else would he have decided to stay there? -It's all about the crab balls!
