Denver Conference Plus

Denver skyline and fountain at sunset from The City Park.

Daytime skyline from the other side. My office sent me to the National Prevention Network Conference in Denver for 3 days. The conference was pretty decent and the Hyatt Hotel was very nice. Dad enjoyed tagging along and we had fun in the evenings and we stayed on through the Labor Day weekend. Here are the photos in 5 blog installments.
The hotel was right across from the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. We've eaten at the one in San Francisco and in Florida somewhere and the food is great. So, of course we went...Dad also ate lunch here one day. Our table was next to an open wall.

I didn't hold back. I ordered the Shrimper's Heaven...4 kinds...fried, coconut, chilly and tempura, with coleslaw, fries and dipping sauces!

Dad had Acccidental Fish & Shrimp...Mahi Mahi & grilled shrimp in lemon butter and Jasmine rice.

Dad spent his days walking around downtown Denver...taking photos of weird things.

He also toured The Mint where coins are made (lots of pennies)...no photos allowed inside...they made you take your batteries out of your camera.

Another view of The Mint.

Denver Broncos' Stadium.

Colorado state capitol with real gold dome.

Dad on the capitol steps.

Mom with feet on the capitol step that is exactly One Mile High.

We went geocaching at the City Park.

Fountain at City Park.
Dinos. There was a zoo and a science and natural history museum at the park, also.

Cramner Park with a cool sundial.

This is a cache location called "2 Adults 4 Kids." Can you see the 2 tall thin parents and the 4 short, chubby kids?

Here's a photo at Wash (Washington) Park. We came here to see the flower gardens. Be sure to check out all the awesome flowers in the final blog.
