Baron's guillotine.

Airie's triangle man.
Abram's gruesome guy.
Paula's punk-a-man...inspired by "Nightmare Before Christmas"...we had the DVD playing while I was carving.

Great hair-do and glasses!
Serving up the Diet Coke w/Lime.
The gumball machine and Mr. Penny.
The gumball machine with grandkids. The kids had to ask Mr. Penny for a real penny from his drawstring pouch, then put it in the slot, turn the crank, and a gumball (balloon) would drop down. Before the night was over, all the gumballs were on the floor. FUN for grandma.
The two winners of the "Best Costume" Contest.
The trophy with edible skulls and bones.
We had fun finding 6 geocaches in Farmington over the weekend. The weather was soooo gorgeous, we ditched the yard work and went for it. The first one was placed by our friends, the Percivals, in Woodland Park.
Being in the park brought back a lot of community theater memories. (I did not need the big sweater!)
The name of this cache was Ground Zero. Supposedly the height from the cache to Flag Rock at the top is the same as the height of the twin towers in NYC!
Closer up photo of Flag Rock. We've hiked up to the flag twice, finding caches along the way.
Scrub Oak.
Mom at "Hunter's Quarry" with good view of Farmington, the lake, the Oquirrhs and beyond.
Here are few photos of outdoor Halloween decorations on one block of State Street in Farmington.
Cemetery.
Scary indeed.
Grim Reaper, Frankie, Spider, etc. Anyone notice the skeleton flamingoes??!
Ken Klinker of Farmington carves lots of jack o'lanterns. He had close to 80 this year...about 25 real and 55 styrofoam...lit with electrial candle-type bulbs. They were displayed at the City Offices on Friday and in front of his home (about 5 blocks from our house) on Halloween. We went to see them in both places. He uses patterns from the internet and designs his own as well. They are amazing...lots of little cuts! He gave us some hints about carving, etc. Just wanted to share few of our favorites.
